anyone knows wheher maxsurf can project line on surface?tks

No, it canīt. Youīll have to use Rhino or another software for this.
In Maxsurf you can create a curve and use it to trim the surface (itīs a kind of projection, but not exactly the same...

you can create a surface to, and see where they intersect each other. bond them, trim them, etc
