| importing iges to Maxsurf Hello all, I'm trying to import an iges surface into Maxsurf from Rhino. I started with a simple surface of a hull but trimmed it and added parallel midbody. I used the ShrinkTrimmed command to trim the net defining the surfaces to their boundaries. When I import the surfaces the stern and mid section import fine, but the end control points at the bow (where it was split) are not well defined as shown in the attached screenshot. Do any of you know how to rectify this problem? I have also attached the iges file. Thanks in advance for your help! Dave |

| Hi folks, Hmm... thank you very much for trying it... I exported an iges file from maxsurf and then re-imported it and it appeared to work. Does anyone have any ideas why? Are there any suggestions as to what I could do to skip the middle step? -Dave |

| Dave What version of Maxsurf are you using to import the file? More recent versions may do a better job, particularly if trimming is involved. Andrew
