High Performance Boat design software

Can someone suggest a good software package that I could use to design performance hulls with and maybe generate actual computer generated images of the boat.

Welcome to the forum Kurt. As is said above, take a look at the threads in this forum. Download the demos for the software listed in this thread: http://www.boatdesign.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=82

Most have free demos available (with limitations such as not allowing you to save or export). Even the ones that are beyond your budget will give you an idea of what is available and where you want to go in the future and it would be worth your time to download and spend a little time with each one before making a decision.
