GZ and Righting Moment Spreadsheet

Edit:
.xls file attached on the next thread.
Copy "Cross Curves of Stability" data, obtained from Archimedes MB or (maybe?) Freeship+ and Paste into this .xls
Output: GZ arm curve and Righting Moment curve of your hull, for big heel angles.
You can do small changes to VCG (also called KG) to match the stability curve you want for your vessel. (For big changes, you should modify original hull, displacements and VCG...)

Kn

You might look at this thread I started way back. It references Freeship, but the info might be useful.

Definition of KN.

Thanks LP. So my thougts about KN in Archimedes were right. All this confusing thing about K, N, H, M etc. could be much more clear with a simple graphic beside formulas, just as you did at your post.
