FreeShip putting an end on a cylinder - how?

Grr, it's maddening, I'm trying to put a nice flat face on each end of cylinder in FreeShip and it keeps bringing it in to a point, but not even a nice point like a pencil, a weird distorted in and out point.

All I want is a nice cylinder 5m long with a radius of 0.25m sealed at both ends, can I do it? No.

Grrr to FreeShip.

saw your pencil tips also but stay cool and you can do it.
extrude, add vertexes, set corners and crease, done in a minute!
getting the hang of it takes some routine.

I don't even seem to have those options, I have to say whilst FreeShip is great in some ways, in other ways it's a real pain in the .... well you know.

Maybe I'll just stick to a pencil and paper?

Freeships great for hulls, and the keel wizard is neat, but its not really intended to be used for other appendages. Best to use Rhino or some other 3d CAD for that.

Alexlebrit,

making such a cylinder is easy:

1. Tools --> Add cylinder:

2. Input particulars:

3. Click "OK" and mark the edge(s) of one side of the cylinder:

4. Extrude the edge to a handy dimension (here: 1m):

5. Mark all points of the new outer edge and set y and z to zero:

6. With the points still selected, move them back using Transform --> Move:

7. Done! (Repeat steps 3 to 6 with the other end of the tube accordingly.)

Olav, if you were female I'd marry you, and if I was I'd have your babies. Thank you very very much.

And I suppose the kids would be talking English, French, German and Norwegian before they started sailing around the world.
