From Freeship to Google SketchUp? As title says, is it possible to export file from Freeship right into Google SketchUp?

If you have SketchUp pro with dxf import function, have you tried transferring a usable shape exporting and importing a dxf mesh? If you have the free version of sketchup I only see .3ds import, no iges or anything else that would work direct from free!ship. http://support.google.com/sketchup/b...n&answer=36217

You can do a dxf import with sketchup 7 (look up old version) then save as skp and reopen in later version. They disabled the dxf import in later versions to make people buy the pro. Nick

Thanks Nick. I used your advice last week to download Sketchup 7.1 pro from http://support.google.com/sketchup/b...n&answer=60107 I still have over 7 hours left on the 7.1 pro demo using it to import. Then it will revert to free features. Hopefully it will keep working for file import. Then I save it as sketchup skp format and work in sketchup 8.
