Freeship Capabilities

would freeship be able to do this type of design? If not what software would be capable of doing this sort of imagery?

Freeship is a 3D drawing software that is pariculary good for smooth curves common in boatdesign and you can use it for the design of the boat in the image. FreeShip is not a image manipulation program. You can use a view from FreeShip and turn it into a nice image with for example the open source software GIMP (gimp.org).

... or you can create your boat model in FREE!ship and export the model as a .OBJ file and import it into a 3D rendering application, such as Blender (www.blender.org).

We used (and continue to use) FREE!ship to model ship hulls for naval simulations, a preview video can be found on our website ( http://www.pmudesign.com/ ).

It's not very east to import images into Blender, but I do like what I could do with it as soon as I learn it! Good find!
