FREE!ship Plus resistance calculation question

calculations -> resistance -> calculation for re-planing and planing ships.

after extracting data from current hull, the user is prompted for which formula to use. Select "D. Savitsky".

For an outboard powered skiff, the input field for "distance between thrust line and CoG" means the distance between a horizontal line at the center of the prop and the neutral axis if the boat were attached to a rotisserie, right?

That measurement is important to predict porpoising, but the field won't accept input. It defaults to 10. Any value you input is replaced by a number 3.28* larger.

It works fine here on my PC, but the input value has to be bigger than 0.05 meters. The default value on my Freeship+ is 0.15 m.

Oh yes, the international settings for numerical values on a PC quite often creates problems with software.

Now you know how I feel when I see thermal power expressed in Btu and fiberglass cloth weight in oz.
