| fluid density in Hydromax Hi folks, Does anyone know how to change fluid density in hydromax? I'm trying to do an analysis in freshwater but can't seem to figure it out... I've opened the density dialog (analysis menu) but there doesn't appear to be any option to change the fluid type that the boat's in... just the type specified in tanks... Cheers, Dave |

| Dave Go to the Density dialog, the first entry in the list, in bold type, is the density of the fluid the vessel is floating in. This is clearly mentioned in the manual and the online help for the Density dialog. You can use the Sea Water density value in your tanks, however if you have a ship that carries water from an area of one seawater density to an area of a different seawater density (e.g. an oil tanker carrying ballast water to the Persian Gulf), the Ballast Water entry allows you to use a density different from that of the water you are floating in.
