    Well, I hope you are aware they build some great boats in Mandal. I was on the team that supplied the lift fans, boost fans, and entire ride control system for the first KNM 'Skjold' SES;

    Hi there,

    Think it was around £4500 for a perpetual license.

    Algor Fempro really is quite a powerful tool. It's remarkably easy to get started with, but extremely capable and quite versatile. It imports from SolidEdge quite easily; Rhino with a bit of care. Static, dynamic and frequency analyses are available with both linear and nonlinear materials, and a bunch of useful electromagnetic and thermal stuff is tossed in too. Really needs an engineer's training to be useful, though, as so many of the imputs are highly technical and require hand calculations as well. For a professional FEA solution it's probably one of the best; not really for amateurs though.
