Enjoying the animation

having fun with Rhino and the addons.

This is a bit of overkill for practice sake, but it provided me with a flexible, visual platform to test different model outboard motor scenarios.

It beats holding the little bits of plastic up to the heavy model, and trying to measure the waterline and angles.

Very nice animations, but it is clear that you have not chosen correctly the pivot point. The model. besides being beautiful, should faithfully reflect the properties of the original object.

yes indeed. The ideal model outboard would be true to a full size one, but I am stuck with an approximation of one, a cheap chinese 'toy'.

I have had to compensate with additional weights on the model, and I need to find the easiest practical way to get the prop drive in proper alignment with the hull.

besides, it gives a chance of playing with my new software toy

I will have to put up with my cheap plastic one for now.
