can I bond edges surfaces from rhino in maxsurf easily?

hi,
since i'm still learning about using rhino, i found some problem in the modelling.
one of them is, my surfaces that were joined well in rhino (I joined them with JoinEdges command) are unjoined when I open in maxsurf (the iges file).
when I try to join them with command bond edges, it's said that the surfaces have different knot vectors (something like that), although they have same stiffness and number of control point.
and then it's more complicated because my iges file consists many surfaces, I need to refair it (with maintain flat bottom and side flat of course).

so, can anyone help me pls?

thanks..

Maxsurf does require that the surfaces to be bonded share the same number of control points, same stiffness and the same knot vector. Normally the knot vector will be the same, exceptions occur when you have used Rhino commands to create some kind of discontinuity. The problem with this approach is that it makes the surfaces less fair. Maxsurf encourages you to create fairer surfaces whereas Rhino offers more modelling options at the expense of allowing you to make less fair surfaces.
The best approach is to create your large fair surfaces in Maxsurf first, then move them to Rhino for modelling of other parts where the Rhino tools are helpful.
If you send your model to support@formsys.com we can help with the specifics of your design.

Thank you very much for your reply,
but i can't attach my file because it's very big size.
here are my problems:
- I have to fair the large surface (that consist of many surfaces), see my attachments
- I've tried to merge alots of the surfaces into 1 surface (for the under waterline). But when I want to get a section in baseline (WL-0) and the buttock for side flat, i got poor section lines. How can I get a good shape of flat bottom and side flat in maxsurf? and I have to maintain the midship section also.
- for your opinon, should I divide the hull into only one surface to get it fair? or should I divide it into any surfaces? because it's difficult for me to model the aft of the ship.

thanks,

Attached is a picture of one way you could model flat of side and flat of bottom in Maxsurf

yes, it's a good way for me to rebuild my model..
although it will need a bit effort to connect the fwd side.

but how about the aft part? especially for the aft bulb.
could you show me the aft view?
what should I do to make it simpler?

thanks for the help..
