| Applying slamming pressures on vessel using Ansys Hi, can anyone help me on how I can apply the slamming pressures on a model of mid-ship on Ansys. |

| Slamming pressure is a localised pressure and thus localised analysis. In your model, that you have posted, assuming this is the model with wish to analysis, you only need to place symmetry conditions on the x-axis ends of the model, then apply vertical restraints on the deck edge. After that it is a simple case of apply a pressure load to the base, (hull bottom) of your model. However, slamming loads and structural analysis is easy enough to calculate by hand, FEA is an overkill. |
