I made a 3D model of boat in Rhino.
I wish to make 2D drawings from it. Which is the best way, using AutoCad or SolidWorks?
How should I save the file in Rhino to be able to export then in one of these two software?
    Thank you.

I'd keep working in Rhino until you have done the 2D drawings, then copy it to autocad to put in the line-styles.

To export, select the objects to export, type "export" (no quotes) at the command line and choose the *.dxf file type.

    Cheers,

    Tim B.

You have a 3D model but need to make 2D panels? First you'll have to use the "unroll developable surface" function. It's on the "surface" drop down menu near the bottom.
