| Have you tried the Metal Boat Society? http://www.metalboatsociety.org/ I am sure they can point you to lots of references on this. The USCG used to have a booklet dealing solely with scantling rules for aluminum boats. You may want to check with the MArine Safety Center http://www.uscg.mil/HQ/msc/
