| You're right valber, I had forgot about them. I'm sorry, amateur mariner. Check this here: Bureau Veritas rules download It seems LR are almost the only ones not making their SSC rules available for free at internet... Cheers. |

But something must be free - Safety on the seas... amatuer mariner You precisely have not specified what type of craft in of your interests... There can be it a really special craft... May be Guillermo is right - buy LR Rules & Regulations for the Classification of Special Service Craft 2009 Full Set, Some questions will leave yourself... | i have read that rules tell us how to predict the design life of a vessel.Does anybody know that can we predict the fatigue life of high speed grp crafts? |

| at some places i do find some curves.but i dont understand how to exactly use them.somewhere i read that rules do tedll us abt fatigue life.Can you help me out from this problem |

| a.m. If you're unsure what the curves are and how to use them etc, then you have along way to go. Fatigue is not simply...oh look an SN curve, how many cycles will it experience....and oh look..there the stress level at said cycles. Fatigue cannot be reduced to a one liner as such. Fatigue is a very complex mechanism. In composites even more so. There are so many variables that must be understood and the data you use, SN curves, need to be fully understood what they represent and do they represent what you want and then the fabrication side etc etc etc...i suggest that you read a good composite book how manufacturing influences the perfect as "designed strength"...what should be taken into account, and that is just the static strength!! Then read some other good text books on fatigue and then, if possible conduct a few simple experiments yourself. Once you have done the above....you may slowly begin to grasp the complexity of your simple question. |
