ISO 11812: Question about sill height

ISO 11812 requires a top of sill height of 200mm for design category A.

To me it is not clear from these rules whether it is allowed to acquire a sill height of 200 mm with help of the fixed profile of a hinged/sliding doorsystem, which has been attached watertight to the steel sill of the hull. See also attached figure "sill height.gif" to clarify this.

The question is now: Is Situation 2 allowed?

Your help is highly appreciated.

"The sill height is the lowest height of the openings considered to be sills."
So yes, 2 is allowed..

This is the definition of "sill"

The horizontal piece or member beneath a window, door, or other opening.
Yes it is confusing. I suppose 2 is OK, but someone can find it wrong, since the sill as to be under the door.
Anyway play safe.

I used to be on ABYC's cockpit and scuppers committee, and from my understanding of it #2 is the correct way to do it.
