Yacht design/Industrial Design

Graduated from Industrial Design in 2000. Such a long time ago. I have always loved sailing and yacht design of both power and sail. I have many ideas and as I see it the only thing lacking is my formal education in Naval architecture

Q. Should I go back to study Naval Architecture or try and obtain an internship with a firm?

If so, any advice in how one could curve their portfolio to such.

This is a question that I have been toying with for some time.

Any advice?
