XFoil

Is anyone familiar with the lastest Xfoil program?

I was having issues loading some NACA sections. I opened a 63412 fine, then next time i ran the program i get an error message when trying to open the same foil again...?

I have to admit finding Xfoil a bit challenging. So I shelled out ten euros for Profili which I have found rather more comprehensible. As I understand it the same processes run behind a fairly easily navigated interface.

Did you upgrade XFOIL versions in between?

Check the file for tabs and replace them with spaces. You probably did this on the original file, but maybe you've saved the coordinates from a spreadsheet and didn't use the exact same file as before.

I find JavaFoil easier to use than Xfoil although I have not spent much time with Xfoil:
