X-Bow Resistance calculation

How does the resistance calculation of ulstein x-bow ships vary from other ships?
Can the reduction in resistance achieved by this type of ships be shown theoretically??

Any details regarding x-bow ships are welcomed..

Wasnt the x-bow for rough wheater?
Guess your looking for dynamic resistance than..
Program like seakeeper or maat hydro may help
free trial maat hydro in the sftware section under
Marine Design Software for Hull Modeling? (2012)

Thank you for the information. But can you please explain a bit about Dynamic resistance??

reply I made was from what I recalled of the x bow
on mobil now again I am not that handy opening multi pages
meanwhile did check that x bow and its for the rough alrite
saw some more extraordinary claims and that the first ship was build
that should give some real figgers and ofcourse a reversed bow
gives a longer more desrirable waterline for better eficiency
witch can be calculated with most ship design software
by dynamic I meant a ships behavior in a seaway as the x bow
was designed for and programs named smulate those conditions
did also see some real nice x bow animations hard to distinguise from real
will check on pc later if the term dynamic resistance exist or what its called
and how calcalated as high waves and seaway do influence basic resistance

hello again arunb047, find it lot more natural to cut and paste links than on a phone :-)
"dynamic resistance" although more often mentiont is my wrong as Andrew Mason mentiont here
after checking Ulstein's site and part of the Marin report i remain skeptical on those x-bow hulls
testing the x-bow in above mentioned programs be more interesting than this calculation
on the difference a reversed bow in undisturbed water makes

when you have the time do read the seakeeper manual

The "resistance calculation" doesn't change, only the result. The procedure/methodology for an X-bow or any other type of bow, to calculate the resistance, remains the same.
