Thanks for all the input. I'm going ahead with this project to make a proof of concept mast/rig- 15' tall with a 5' cord. It should be a fun project to do, up in the Nord Country (Wisconsin) and put it on a small one-design class ice boat. At best, this rig is cheap and a sailmakers solid wing rig. At worst, a complicated bunch of sticks and a big ball of yarn!

Geoff,
If you go ahead with this project, I would be interested in knowing how it turns out. I had a similar idea for controlling the camber on a fully battened rotating wing sail. For this application I think the control chords would have to be routed through a pocket sown into the sail, with access points cut into the sail at each reef point. I am not sure it would be practical, but I am still exploring the idea.

I'm planning to branch all of the same control lines from each batten down to one master line. There are five of these lines per batten. I'll end up with five master lines running parellel to each other. From here, I'll have pairs of preset set of five ringed lines branching down to one line (each line representing a shape on either port or starboard tack. With this arrangement and three shapes preset, one would have six lines to select from to set the shape of the rig with. This is the first guess at how to control the shape of this thing!
