Wind power

This video has to be seen to be believed. Could there be a new upwind propulsion system here? Judge for yourselves.

I almost shat myself! That is so beatiful. I think I am getting that DVD. I want to watch those amazing machines in a bit better quality (real-life would be best, of course).

Edit: The last massive one seems to be pushed. But getting all that movement from one person pushing is absolutely fantastic.

That's one big Tinker Toy! What part of that contraption would be adapted to a hull? How would it be trimmed or stowed? What point upwind could be achieved? Maintaince & repair ?
It is "kinda" graceful, in a threshing machine sort of way, but what type of deck will it take? God help the sailer who gets tangled in it. God help the sea birds.
