Probably used on Knysna lagoon...?

Suggest that you give her a once over with shot blasting to see how well she is preserved under the paint and apply new primer. Do the necessary repairs and repaint and you should have a boat to use

Why didnt you just ask if you could have it?You spent hard earned cash on that?What does your wife think?Shot blast means to sand blast the hull I think...then again it could mean, Have a shot and blow it up!

kraaiboskloof if you got a bargain it could be ok
but beware - an old hull can cost serious bucks to fix
it could be so bad that building from new will cost the same

What Wynand said is true, clean up first
a wire brush wont do the trick
it has to be sandblasted in and out
your local engineering works should have one, just rent a very big compressor and make sure the operator wears all the safety gear

good luck - you are going to need lots of it
