| Unique Submersible Tri-Hull Vessel - What Can I Do ???? I could use some ideas on what I can do with my new vessel. Originally, this was designed to carry a 7 passenger tour sub for an operation in the Bahama's. The sub was half built and we had to design a support vessel to carry it. Well, the manufacture of the sub was offered a large sum of money to take his business out of the country and can no longer provide the sub. What I have is a boat that is a tri-hull with a lower and upper deck - both 40' L X 18' W. The lower deck can submerge into the water up to 7' deep. The upper deck will be nicely furnished with restroom, bar, entertainment and Helm. The propulsion system is a state-of-the-art electric with large gensets/bat's. Very Environmentally friendly! Also has bow-thrusters, joy stick controlls, and other unique items. It has a lift capacity of 20,000 pounds and designed to carry 18 passengers. Now that you know a little about the boat what kind of operation will this vessel prosper at? Some idea's we thought of are:1. Put a cage around the bottom and use it as a large shark viewing vessel with paying passengers swimming with the sharks. 2. Filming Boat- Film crews could easily launch heavy equipment from a submerged platform. 3. Scuba operation. If you can think of any ideas where we can utilize the uniqueness of this vessel your input would be much appreciated. I have pics of the vessel if anyone is intrested. Randy |

| As I was reading... Hello... As I was reading through this you answered your own question with my ideas - a shark viewing and filming vessel - perhaps same for reef dive mothership... Sell it to the American Navy - they love to inventory smallcraft with no real purpose - plump the budget... Strange thing you have there - great thread starter... I am bored - was sunny and windy yesterday - I have a new motor - did not go out - my wife went squishy tomato on me - I need to mark and track the calendar more - and today it is raining... Is it politically incorrect to say squishy tomatoe (with an 'E')... You should post some pictures NOW - manage attachments... SH. |
