Just one queston - if your intention is to build one for yourself, what construction method, material would you preferably use?

I know and its very unfortunate. They are an eyesore in the blue Mediterranean.
Who on hell wants to copy a Wally?

Wally would probably be happier if you built an unauthorized boat from pirated plans than building something that everyone will think is a Wally but isn't up to their standards. If it looks like one people will call it one, I reckon.

But hey, each to their own.

As Lister says, I hope you like courtrooms.

Each to their own, Lister... I for one think that Luca Bassini and his team have been responsible for some of the most spectacular boats - both power and sail - over many years.... and both from an engineering and aesthetic perspective.
