Wakeboard boats design

Hi!

Iīve been thinking about wakeboard-boats.
When you ride a wakeboard, you want as big waves as possible, and today the only way to get this is to use ballast. Sometimes they use upp to 2 ton of ballast or even more, just to get this waves. That requires a lot of gasoline, and here in Sweden itīs soon about 1,5$/L....

My thought is that there must be some other way to get larger waves, by design. I want a boat that gives larger waves but donīt need that much gasoline. Since you are all good designers I was thinking you perhaps have some more ideas.
