Guys i just dont get these new frikken websites

    http://www.volvooceanrace.org/

    interactive my flippen arse

jeez i have been on the internet for longer than our younger members are old, i got ADSL since when it came to us, running XP and Vista et all

i have been surfing boats, boobs and booze for decades

i have got an easy way to see if my computer is up to speed - go to one of my many favourite **** sites and viola i know that my computer is downloading JUST FINE

now i sit here on a lovely sunny sunday morning (with a nice bowl of chocolat ice cream) and i am going to read all about the VOLVO race which i am addicted to on DSTV

holy crap i get so frustrated that i want to kick the screen in

VOLVO your 3D viewer is CRAP
i am not prepared to down load a ton of programs to see your 3d race viewer
    your pics page is sloooooooow
your page designer must be shot NOW ASAP - kill the ******* before he causes more damage

so for all my BD.net buddies - be warned - first pour a beeeeeg whiskey - down it - wait 5 minutes before you tackle the volvo page
and DONT GO NEAR THE SLIDE SHOWS

and then when you cant take it any longer rather go and have a giggle at Around in Ten - i wish more of us could be so blissfully ignorant - this chap will never die of a heart attack - he's living in his own little world on dimension X101. Bless you my man - may the force always be with you.

farkit back to bikinis for this old fart:D

It all seems to run perfectly.
Slide shows in particular are instantaneous.
3d viewer requires plug in, but it's a B&G Deckman feature so most sailors will have it.

Good God ...I hope that green and blue thingy near his tablesaw is not intended to be his liferaft??!!

It is fortunate that he will probably never get that thing near the water.

    He's kidding you. It's not a boat, it's ART.

    That boat:
    Is it supposed to float?

    VOR website:
Too much bad JavaScript. Not particularly fast on 7Mbps cable and no better on the campus connection (100Mbps or better). Viewers are unimpressive (I didn't know what I was looking at on the 2D viewer until I clued in that LAND was blue and WATER was off-white.) Lots of updates, but it could be cleaned up quite a lot!

Lucky you, MarshMat. Imagine what I'm seeing with 500Kb/sec. A lot of the Volvo stuff falls between two stools in an effort to broaden its appeal - the game is a good example of this. I reckon the Vendée Globe folks do a far better job.

DGreenwood. Now it's you that's kidding me! Let's hope it's a race where entrants have to qualify... How long before the start?
