VCE and LCE measure help

Can anyone tell me how to measure the LCE fwd transom (lonitudinal center of efford of the propulsor shaft line) and the VCE ( vertical center of efford of the propulsor shaft line. These two measurements define the propulsor thrust line. I need them so i can input them in my software for predicting my hull speed
TIA

I think this is simply a matter finding out where the thrust is being taken, which will be either the gearbox, dedicated thrust bearing or in the case of of direct drive the engine itself. If you want to be more precise find the location of the thrust bearing in the engine or gearbox.

What hull speed software are your using? I have never seen these parameters required before, at least not for bigger boats and ships.

Thank you Michael for your reply.

I'm using SwiftCraft from Hydrocomp.

You mean i have to find the distance of the engines ( in my case i have twin IVECO AIFO engines) --- from the transom untill the gear box... OK i think i get it.. but what about the vertical VCE from where to where i measure this...?
