| Tugboat rolls 360 under bridge (old story, maybe some remember) First saw this about 15 years ago. Still funny. Even two tug captains of my acquaintance think so. Surprised to see it's still on the 'net. http://www.vts-racon.nl/rariteiten/duwboot.htm same pics and story, another site http://www.maxumowners.org/towboat.html |

| Not likely a 360 degree roll... From the way the text reads, the way the pictures appear and from my experience, I don't believe this tug rolled 360 degrees. Perhaps more like 90 max. Of course I don't know for sure, I wasn't there. I'm glad I wasn't at the sticks for that one though, that's IS for sure! Tom |

| I used to deck for a captain who had been the relief mate on that tug. He said that the best thing that could have happened was for it to go down and sink. I also saw it from time to time after it had been bought by KRTCo (Kentucky Rivers Transportation, universally known on the river system as Killers, Rapists and Thieves; if you couldn't get hired by anyone else because of your record you could get a job at KRT; they used the boat as a dumping ground for their problem children. I used to cringe when my tug would have to work that boat.) and the years had definitely not been kind to it.
