Truncated teardrop

Can anyone here help me with information on how much extra drag you get if you cut the tail of a aerodynamical teardrop shape at different distances from the end.
(I have made a guess that it is something like x^3 with x being the ratio between distance to the cut divided by distance to max diameter from the aft end but this is probably wrong...)
