Trolling motor Mid mount for 24' pontoon

Here is my story, I bought a 24' pontoon to permantly leave on my farm pond
as a way to skin watermeal and other trash off. My Pond is small so a trolling mtor is a plenty, I was thinking of some way to mount a motor where I could control it with one hand.
One thought was to cut a hole in the floor and mid mount it with a angle plate, i'm not sure how a pontoon's deck is constructed or if this will work at all. I has to use a bulldozer to get it into the pond so I am not able to get it out to see how the deck is constructed, I need advise.
