Finally, someone with a wonderfully mature and professional attitude. Pity others do not take this sensible approach to criticism/critiquing..no matter how it is presented.

She's looking good so far

Let's hope I don't screw it up.

Thanks. Me too.
Right now I am measuring, cutting and pre-fitting small wooden parts, focusing on transom first. When I begin assembly I will provide photos.

Well, I have most of the blanks cut and the jig set up as a gluing stand. After I glue the 1.5 ft. extensions so the components will be 9.5 feet long I will begin posting photos of the assembly and glue-up, as well as posing the occasional question.

There was no progress this week as both of us came down with strepthroat.

Sorry.

Hopefully this week I will be up to working on it.

Okay, it lives.

Some photos, starting with the 72" radius curve template.

Oops, my mistake.

Reminds me of a bumper sticker I saw yesterday:

"You say tomato, I say f*@# you!"

Needless to say, no offence, I just about drove off the road laughing.

Hope you're feeling better soon.

Last time I had strep was in '83 when I ran the Honolulu marathon on penicillin...

No offense taken That cracked thing to the right of the "tiles" is my driveway. The curved template was used to set the curves you see cut on the hull sides in the photo. It will all become more clear as the build progresses.

I made some progress this week with 2 hulls partially glued up. Learning while doing.

Looking good Hoyt.
Aren't you glad boats are born by carpentry skills, and not birthed like mammals?
