What's that wood ? We don't have any here like that that I know of.

Being a cat, your boat's going to be fine !

Some is white spruce. Some is Douglas fir. Some of it is pressure-treated yellow pine. Some had been part of old bunk-beds. I have been using up a lot of scrap left over from other projects other than the plywood and the cross beams. All of it is one or another kind of conifer.

I rolled it back into the garage so it won't get wet.

Sea? Lake, more likely. I expect to have it in the water late July/early August.

Motor mount was spiral-wrapped in fiberglass tape today. It had a lot of air in the tape so I wrapped it in polyfilm while it was wet and pressed the air out/epoxy into the fibers with my thumbs. Results: so-so but good enough once painted over.

Hoyt, STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My quick calcs on your boat wheel carrier shows that it will only carry 2640 LBS. And the axle is to small......................... Ever hear of 1 x wood--it is lighter.

That's 2,575 pounds more than each wheel is rated for. Guess I am in a bind. :D

I never bothered to click on this thread for some reason, Hoyt. I had no idea it was your build thread, or I'd have been keeping up with it.

Thanks for all the pic's. Looks good, and I'm looking forward to her splash.

It was wet mostly, I saw the sun once or twice though. Ive now lost my Thia tan and have a nice rust colour.

Uk is depressing. Heathrow is huge, unmanagable, and formidable. Returning a hire car is a night mare.

Immigration is a bit of a shock to a very rare white man like me. I dont speak Russian so cominication was difficult and my phone lo longer works as I suspect the UK sim has locked it from working with another,--and you think banks are bent. I had to buy a new phone yesterday.

In the small cornish fishing village of Fowey I saw a fishermans house,-- one up one down selling for half million dollars and a crab sandwich to take out 11 dollars.

However pot noodles are still available at 35p.

Mind you flying business is just the --- business. Laying flat out on a bed face down with my arms under the pillow is the only way I can sleep,---and sleep I did after watching Mission impossible but he still manged to do it so It should be called Mission Difficult,--just a thought.

Too bad about England's(and US) decline.

    Good morning, Frosty and Yobarnacle.

Thanks for the encouraging remarks. We are looking forward to getting her wet.
