I'm translating the above thread:

Ukada got a job at a shipyard in barcelona and asks:
How much would a boatdesigner charge to design the overall look or design of a power boat?

depends...

it depends...if you are Pininfarina or Giugiaro you can ask whatever you fell is enough....
If you are Nobody a good starting point might be this:
If you think about the entire project of a craft as the 100% you might break it like this :
General plans: 20%
Style 15%
fornitures 15%
hull lines and stability 18%
structures 16%
propulsion and other : 16%

now I got this fares:

if the boat value is up to 93.000 euros the 100% = 10 % of the boat value.
up tp 232.000 8.4 %
463.000 6.6. %
926.000 5.5%
4.630.000 3%

now example:
let's say you are asked to draw style for a boat that has a 100.000 euros value you might go like this:
the entire project would be 8.400 euros, from this take out the 85% and you get what you could ask:
1200 euros.
Plus you can ask a small % on the list price for each boat sold (2-3 % for a boat around 100.000 euros increasing if the price goes down dec. if price goes up)

This are just guidelines I'm reading from a paper I have.

Good luck.
I'm Italian,so if you feel write me.
(my spanish is orrible but I guess you are Italian too from what I read)
