Kind of a steep learning curve with subs for that approach but yes, part of natural selection I suppose...

Raw Faith was a pile of pallets nailed together into a hundred feet long pre hogged beauty that floated for a few years while its owner tried to collect "donations" to "fix" it. Thing eventually sank when his woefully inadequate portholes blew out in moderate seas. I think the coast guard had already rescued him about a dozen times by the time he finally sank it.

He claimed some religious affiliation and that the boat was intended to be a wheel chair accessible tour boat. The coast guard although had other ideas. Like keeping people alive.

He ended up divorced with his kids not speaking to him, he remained defiant to the end though. Said something about how it was everyone elses fault and he wouldn't have sunk everyone else had just been reasonable. Not sure how that works but I followed the saga pretty extensively. Its a great lesson to those of us planing our own builds some day.

Well, probably not yet, but it will.

Tugboat reminds me of the guy on Duckworks some years ago, who was determined to circumnavigate in a 2.4m boat he designed & built himself.

He didn't make it out of the harbour IIRC.

You can hand-wave, post on forums and make videos all you like, but you can't alter physical laws. If you don't even know what those laws *are*, your education is going to be expensive. Still, some people only exist to serve as a warning to others WRT the consequences of stupidity combined with arrogance.
