strakes/rails

Hi guys, this is a mor "buildish" issue but I didn't have replies in the building forum...so here I am:
I will need to put strakes /spray rails (however you want to call them) under a fiberglass hull that will be built with C flex on a male mold.
My questions are:
When should I put them in? after the C flex has cured and then cover them with regular lamination?
After the entire lamination is done?
What's the strakes building method?
Do I start from a straight batten triangular in section?
Thanks for your help,
federico
