Splaying the prop shaft to port ?

Does offsetting prop on a 19' tunnel drive, V bottom hull, improve foward & reverse and remove much of the side thrusts ?
Atkin incorporates 5" to port at the motor flywheel in the 19' rescue boat.

Yes, no ?
