| South Africa around the island Hi Guys Herewith the pictures of the first launching of the little boat i built in my december holidays. The boat is far from complete, but work is progressing painfully slowly now that i am back at work. AROUND THE ISLAND WAS FARKIN AUWSUM I am not sure how many sailboats entered but it could easily be more than 1000. What a sight. The beer flowed like a river I hope that these pictures will help to brighten Fanie and Wynand days because we in Sef (sif?) efrika are having loads of **** = no electricity and coming next poisonous rivers ![]() |

| Working every day approx 7 hours for 3 weeks. I know that sounds slow for a boat that is 4m long by 1.2m wide but all was done by myself. One thing that i must add is that i am very suprised at how much work is in a stitch and glue boat. The rewards is beyond measure. I have never seen so many happy smiles in my life from young and old. The most interest was from the older sailors that simply just love all things nautical. GO AHEAD BUILD A BOAT YOUR LIFE WILL CHANGE |

| Way to go, Manie!! Congratulations, mate. You're a proud member of a very exclusive club. The number of people who dream of building and launching a boat is vast; the number who actually do it is tiny. Good for you!

| Thanks for rubbing it in Manie, I was going to do the island with the little tri but things just didn't work out. Really really PO about that ![]() Cute little boat Even the cat looks a bit dull against it. Or is it your boat that is against the cat ? ![]() Between Midrand and Centurion my internet is now of double the time. First there was white power Then there was black power And now there's NO power. As if that's not enough they just announced water problems on tonights news. Not surprising, is it ? 5050 showed some idiots catching the barbel out of Harties, some excuse about neutrients on the bottom... if you ask me the fish is just going to go to philamon and friends and into someone's pocket... if they want to save the damn dam, don't f the fish up, f the ****** up that dump the chemicals in the river upstream, 4 5 c !
