Some questions for Paul Kotzebue re: K-5m and K-28

Good Evening,

I had visited with much interest your website ; can I ask you some precisions about the scantling calculation notes of the K-5m and the K-28.

1) the calculation of traverse frame and floor in way of the ballast are very clear : the SMk concern both floor and frame. But, for grounding load, it seems that only the floor is concerned : is it true ?

2) you give also a method for calculate the SM of the keelson and the sheer clamp : but I don't understand the value of "s" (684 mm) : what is it ? (I assume that the value "lu" is bulkhead space).

Thank you by advance

Best regards

Jacques
