Small GRP Passenger Vessel

Hi
How can I find Similar ships for designing a small passenger boat with following outline specification;

Type : cat
L : 14M approx.
Speed:30 Knots
Seat : 42 Pax
material: GRP

the vessel will be only for carrying passengers in small distances maximum 20km and the main constraint is the cost.

14m and carry 42pax at 30knots....would have to be a catamaran.
Try looking at Southbaots for examples. But you'll find it tough, being a pax boat, saftey issues etc all packed into 14m at a low cost.

deepsea builds approximately the same size of vessels, but data of vessels doesn't exsist in the site.

what is the maximum number of pax or grt of the passenger vessel, not using SOLAS convention? (for example for cargo ship if grt>500, the vessel should use the solas rules and cost would comes up)

Carrying pax and being GRP, rules are quite onerous. Namely fire safety.
It all depends where the vessel will operate. From your question, sounds like there are not too many rules for guidance in Iran; does Iranian Flag care which rules you use?
If SOLAS, for example, hull material to be non-combustable, ie metal

Yes, the orange one is our design.

Designed in FRP to High Speed Craft code. Fire protection is a an issue but really required only for engine room. Besides compliance to HSC code is required only for boats making international voyages, all other applications are up to counrty of flag.

I believe there are a variety of ways to achieve a fire safe (class A ) FRP
panals. A little out of my area of knowledge though. Our Navy has a few composite ships and I would think that they are fire safe. At the least a tracer round should not ignite them?????

the most important thing in this project is cost. although the Aluminum is better for passenger ship, but it's too costly in Iran and more over, importing the Al plates in Iran is very difficult and prohibited in many cases. so the usage of GRP material is maybe more reasonable.

and a question; what percent of passenger ships in the world, uses composites as the hull material?
