| Small deep water... Hello... I know - blue water does not have to mean a deep keel - but what if you take H.G. Haslers Midget, then take Mark Ellis's Nonsuch 22 deckhouse and stick it all together in Photoshop while drinking the last of some Canadian Rye on a cold and rainy day - and lets do all this with the hope of plopping a six footer inside standing upright to make some tea and eggs - and then this again within the shortest waterline length possible to kill the moorage payments... Am I crazy - I am going to bed - below is a 19 footer LOA - between perps... Also - for all you mucks - really - go and get the new copernic engine - windows 2000 and up at www.copernic.com - the photo search is fantastic... Yup... Cheers - back to work tommorow... SH. |

| Slipfees and sizes Nice work - what brand was that you got your inspiration from? I need to go get some anyway. Slips in marinas around here (MN) are now being build for 25 foot and up so there is very little savings to go to a 20. That gives you another 5 feet to play with for the next bottle. I expect that a boat that deep and somewhat heavy would not cost that much more even if you stretch it a bit. I like the idea of a 23-24 better - running on a waterline of same lenght. A deep walkway along the middle for standing and high seating for 4 so you can sit inside and see the sunset at anchor while you enjoy they Rye when its cold out. Since all I have is Jaegermeister my drawing mod is a bit lacking , but a couple of shots of canadian in your end ought to fix that - I was aiming for a Brewer Bite (even if he prefers Brews). I am still working on the keel / rudder. I might try Merlot for that .

| Pacific Seacraft sold a bunch of Flickas, which definately have their devotees. Yes, they really are only 20', with 6' headroom. And darned cute too! About slip fees -- I could never understand why marinas charge by the foot. It seems their cost would be the same for the same size slip, whatever size boat happens to be in it. Maybe they assume a bigger boat's owner has more to spend, but we've all seen plenty of evidence to the contrary! I liked your pocket motorsailor -- how's that coming along? |
