small boat design
can anyone advise the method of laying out one piece small boat sides given it's principal dimensions ? I want to draft this manually rather than using software.

Have tried this site, gives lots of detail on boat construction but I could not see any reference to specific design methods.

Manually or using computer, is the same, if designing is what you are looking for I can recommend you the next books

"How to Design a Boat" by John Teale.

"Designing Power and sail" by Edward Edmunds.

follow the books, that will be pretty much what is common for designing any boat.
