I am interested in studies of slamming on the bottom face of a vertical cylinder. I have found articles looking at other shapes (spheres, horizontal cylinders, and wedges) during drop tests, but not a vertical cylinder dropped so its flat circular face impacts the water. If you know of any references, that would be very helpful.
