| Simplified stability estimationfor powerboats Working on method to estimate powerboats initial stability. I propose diagram to estimate lever of form to chine beam ratio (Lf/Bc) depending on: - chine beam to hull draft ratio (Bc/T) - deadrise angle 0,5,10,15,20,25 - heel angles 5, 10, 20 deg. These graphs are intended for planning powerboats. Lf/Bc=f(Bc/T, deadrise, heel) Lever of stability You can calculate like this: L=(Lf/Bc)*Bc-Zg*sin(heel) L - lever of stability, m (=GZ) Lf - lever of form, m Bc - chine width, m T - hull draft, m Zg - vertical center of gravity from baseline, m (=KG) Please, test on Your designs and make comments.
