type of shock mount was to be selected for a console which weighs around 450kg. i have no idea where to start and the only information i have is the weight. any guidelines for selection of shock mounts?

I have seen this kind of mounts regularly used for electronic equipment but i have no idea about the selection of the mounts as i have very little information. i only have the weight. Is it very risky to select this kind of shock mounts without proper calculation?

Weight, number of mount points equally loaded, how much deflection the spec is calling for = mount size

Firstly you need to know what load/shock is being applied and the duration of the impulse and finally what is your pass/fail criteria.

For example, you may have items on the console that are fine if you have say....10mm of movement, others say 15mm. Thus 10mm displacement becomes your pass/fail. So the stiffness of the mounts is related to this displacement, as a simple spring constant.

thanks people. i actually contacted the shock mount supplier company and they could provide me the suitable shock mount with very little information given to them.
