Shaft SF's

Hello,

I am wondering if anyone knows a simplified way to determine the safety factor for a shaft in an inboard powerboat. Any advice or direction to where I might find it would be greatly appreciated.

Casey

Call the major prop companies. They need the engine speed, torque and HP, also any gear box ratios.
