| Seminar about ship design , HELP!! Hi my name is Ayman,I'm a fourth year student in Marine Engineering and Naval Architecture. This year I have a seminar. My presentation will be about ship design. The presentation is a compare between ship design using old traditional methods, and ship design using softwares(CAD,CAM&CAE).I'll also talk about the future of ship design. My question is, can anyone help me to get any references about this subject specially about the future of ship design. Anything will be helpful. Thank you ![]() |

| I suspect the next step in automated design will be that you simply input the characteristics that you want, and the software will produce a best hull shape, and structural design that will yield those results. Meaning the skill of understanding the relationship between the various trade-offs will be reduced to a tech simply inputting data, and getting the design done out the other end. |
