| Seeking Proto-type help with new engine design Greetings, I had a head and neck injury a few years ago so my activities are limited. I have a design for a new type marine power plant that is begging to be built. It is a simple concept that could be built in any common shop. I live in the New Orleans area. Anyone interested in making the internal combustion engine obsolete ? Thanks Keith |

My engine traps the expanding gas creating air pressure which is stored in a pressure vessel and regulated out to do the desired work. The A.J. is in essence a self filling air compressor which can be shaped to fit the desired application. -- Such as turning an impellor or propellor via air motor technology. | What is the performance of the engine? That is, fuel efficiency, torque, HP. Also, does it comply with EPA standards?

| Yo Gonzo, I want to build a Proto-type. I'm no magician I don't have those numbers. I don't think the Wright Brothers could answer a lot of the questions of the day when they first flew. Someone has to walk point! That's what this engine is all about. It's outside the "Box". Keith |

| Keith King, thats bad luck getting such an injury i write while knocking on wood. all the best to you. a design hasnt anything to with that however. what is the benefit of an air compressor over direct drive? wouldnt oil do a better job? long long time ago i run one winter a generator in a forward cabin of an old houseboat without a sealed exhoust. i would be affraid for smooth in the pressure vessel and valves? good luck! |

| Seadrive, It's good to meet another progresive thinker. Did your research turn up that pulse jet driven outboard from early this century. I enjoy looking back at old innovations and wondering what I could do with them using todays technology. There were a lot of deadend projects in the past that if approached with new materials and tech , may not be deadends at all. Good luck with your motor. Personally I think there's something in the near future that will do to the traditional internal combustion engine what it did to the steam engine. Keith Quote:

| Keith: Have you done a patent research yet? Make sure you are not reinventing the wheel. There is a lot that can be done online. Eventually you'll have to go to a repository library. My questions about efficiency and EPA standards have to be answered by you, the inventor. That is the most important part of an invention, that it serves its purpose and does what you claim it is supposed to do.

| Gonzo, I Hope you're having a nice holiday. I did have a patent search done. The closest thing to what I want to do is the pulse jet and that's quite a stretch. It's probably just as close to a gas operated automatic rifle. I can make it meet those requirements. I can't apply for a patent though because any changes I make will not be covered. I have to build a proto-type then work out the bugs and come up with a production model. Just like other types of engines there are many applications and sizes. I want to build a model that will be able to compete in the personal watercraft market. Keith Quote:
