Schedule of conditions for a new project

I request your suggestions in order to write a schedule of conditions for a new project. My goal is to write a request for proposal in order to consult some designers. I want it to be as precise as it must be to reflect my thoughts. Obviously the designer will comment it and modify some points !
Another goal is to forget nothing.

Thanks for your help

Mik

What I want to do is to write all informations necessary to a naval designer to understand what will be my boat project. For example, the type of boat (motor or sail...) the dimensions, the program and so on...

Suggested outline

If I understand you correctly, you are asking for suggestions regarding the items that should be included in a comprehensive request that will be submitted to a boat designer.

I would organize a request under four headings:

1) General description, 25 words or less the get you in the ballpark.

2) Primary usage expected for the boat.

3) Top priorities: a list of specific attributes that you really believe that the boat must have in order to satisfy you. This list may include minimum cruising speed, maximum length, must be trailerable, etc. The top priorities should only include items that you believe the boat must satisfy in order to keep you motivated to pursue the project.

4) Other goals: a list of wants that are not absolute needs.

Perhaps you can respond with this much info, and others on the list can suggest items that require further consideration.

Shopping carts with rubber wheels...

Hello...

If you take those hard wheels off their mounts and weld or bolt on some pnuematics - there may be a lesser problem of getting pissed on from a third story window from people who have to get up at 5 AM...

Cheers...

SH.
