Open 60 sailing in Heavy Weather Conditions

Just happened across a couple of good videos of flat out sailing in some heavy weather conditions on an Open 60.

The control is amazing without a person on the helm to anticipate the conditions. Gets caught out a little but still keeps control. You would not find me on the foredeck tending sails at that speed in those conditions with no one else on board. In fact I would not be on the foredeck in those conditions - that is what crew do.

You would want to be a good barefoot skier if you fell overboard with the lifeline attached! Do they have some trip system for that eventuality?

He doesn't even appear to have a safety harness on !!

You have to be young and agile for that type of sailing.
